Two gorgeous Tuscan hideaways in a truly spectacular and magical location, Villa Napoleone and Villa Paolina are two enchanting and luxurious Tuscan country houses, perfect for couples, families or a group of friends wishing to discover the best Tuscany has to offer.

Villa Napoleone can accommodate up to 7 people and Villa Paolina can accommodate up to 6 people and they can be rented together or separately. Each villa is totally independent and private – they are in the same estate but you can’t see the other one, and each has its own private swimming pool, landscaped garden and parking area. Each villa offers a dream setting for discerning guests seeking a luxury vacation in a rural setting with absolute privacy and  fresh air,  yet less than 20 minutes away from the Renaissance city of Florence and in the heart of the Chianti region.

From the large terraces and stone built patio areas, furnished  with elegant outdoor furniture and smelling of fresh flowers and lemon trees, you can enjoy  uninterrupted breathtaking views of the Tuscan hills while sipping a good Chianti and enjoying an al fresco family meal of local specialties.

The gorgeous Villas are furnished and tastefully finished to the highest standards. Contemporary comforts blend with original antique pieces, resulting in two welcoming luxury homes, full of heritage, while outside is nothing but the beauty and peace of 10 hectares of private parkland of olive grooves, flowering shrubs and precious large terracotta vases – and the views….

A Tuscan holiday to remember: where do you start?

Maybe by visiting the six Tuscan localities that have UNESCO Protected status – the historical towns Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Pienza, the cathedral square of Pisa and the breathtaking Val D’Orcia, with its resorts and thermal waters that have been used since the Romans .

Alternatively, follow the art – as the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Galileo Galilei, Botticelli and Dante Alighieri there are hundreds of museums and art galleries to explore, starting with the Uffizi, Accademia and Bargello of Florence.

Take a trip to Rome – the capital of Italy, the “Eternal City” with its 2500 year history is less than 2 hrs train away from Florence. Perfect for a day trip.

Visit the nearby medieval villages and castles – San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Cortona (from “Under The Tuscan Sun”), Radda, Castellina in Chianti and Castello Meleto or take a guided wine tour around wine estates such as Dievole, Fonterutoli and Brolio.

Get sporty – when you are done swimming in your pool, you can go cycling, trekking, climbing, horse riding, golfing, fishing or, in winter, skiing on Mount Amiata. The area is a paradise for cyclists and has a strong cycling tradition – the famous Eroica bike ride held in Gaiole in Chianti the first Sunday of October is no to be missed for a Sunday of vintage biking in the most beautiful country tracks in the world.

If wine-making tradition is more of what you have in mind, we are right by the Chianti region and Montepulciano is not very far either: wine farms and olive farms are all around and most of them offer tours and tasting. All you have to do is take your pick!

Go shopping – visit artisan workshops, antique stores, artist studios and designer shops and outlets (Italy is birthplace of Prada, Gucci, Versace, Armani, Dolce e Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli amongst others). And if you don’t feel like going to town, the outlet shopping village The Mall is only 15 min away!

Relax at a spa – Tuscany has 39 thermal spas known for their relaxing and healing properties which over the ages have been visited by Napoleon, Byron and Shelley. Gorgeus Bagno Vignoni, Terme di san Filippo, Terme di Casciana, Terme di Montepulciano, Versilia Spa are only e few examples.

A beach break? No problem: the Riviera with the beaches and boutiques of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi is only 80 miles away. You can take the opportunity to explore Pisa on your way there – there is so much more than the leaning tower to see there!

We can help arrange any of the above and more – cookery classes, wine tasting tours, cultural tours, etc etc. just let us know what you would like to do, and check-out our What to Do Nearby page for more inspiration and do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions: you can either use our contact form, or give us a ring on +39 335 20 5898.
